Who is Real Supervision designed for?
Real Supervision is designed for professionals working in the education system. It is for teachers, tutors, psychologists, SENCOs and Inclusion Managers - all professionals working with children and adults in education. We know that suitable assistance and support is often hard to find. This innovative and unique service provides that support and guidance. Supervision will help you ensure your practice is rigorous and continue to develop professional skills.

What training or experience do I need before I join?
Before you join the Real Supervision community we will check with you that the service is appropriate to your needs. As part of this check we will ask about your current role and your level of training and any relevant qualifications. Supervision can play an important part in continuing professional development, however it is not a substitute to relevant training and qualifications.

Is there a special website?
Real Supervision makes use of a special website designed by The Real Group. This website will help you interact online with peers and your supervisor. Login to the website with your username and password at http://www.realsupervision.co.uk/members/.

How does it work?
When you join the Real Supervision community you will begin interacting with your peer online. You will also be given the name of your supervisor. Using the private messaging system on the website - at the beginning of each month you will agree with your supervisor how you will use your supervision time in the coming month. If you wish to have telephone supervision a date and time will be booked. If you want feedback on a piece of written work, a supervisor will need at least five working days to respond. For more details of how you can use your supervision time, please see the details on http://www.realsupervision.co.uk/monthly_service.html.

How does telephone supervision work?
All supervisors can provide telephone supervision to 34 countries. The number you provide must be a landline number. We cannot make calls to mobile phones. We do not expect you to call us.

Do you have any supervisors who are not educational psychologists?
Our educational psychologists who are supervisors are experienced in providing supervision to a range of professionals working in education. If you would be interested in having a supervisor from a different profession then please contact us to discuss your needs on info@realsupervision.co.uk.
